The origin of Morocco dates back to 788 AD. Subsequent years follow that, the country was ruled by multiple dynasties who won in battles as conquerors. In the 17 century, Morocco was able to avoid the occupation of the Ottoman Empire as the Saadi and Marinid dynasties ferociously resisted the foreign invaders. In the 19th century, the country was divided by France and Spain due to its strategic location in the Mediterranean. Fortunately, they regained their independence in 1956 and thrived to become the 5th largest economy of Africa. As of today, Morocco's official languages are Tamazight and Standard Arabic. Most cities and provinces speak these languages, however, in places such as Casablanca and Tangier, people predominantly speak
French, English, and Spanish because these are the cities that were widely affected during the division mentioned above. Hence why it resulted in people being able to speak these languages. This has also
